Access Architects were happy with their website’s design and layout but needed more control over the content. The markup, which had been generated by Dreamweaver, was also very outdated and messy, leading to cross-browser compatibility problems.
I completely rewrote the markup and used CSS for the presentation. I also created an accessible, cross-browser compatible CSS-based dropdown menu to replace the previous Javascript-based one which only worked in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.
The main bulk of this project was writing a bespoke Content Management System enabling Access Architects’ employees to easily make changes through a web-based administration interface – particularly important to them was an easy but powerful way to upload and manage photographs of building they have worked on.
